Celebration of the Doughnut

Dough was founded in 2010 by Chef, Fany Gerson, as a celebration of the doughnut. Inspired by her Mexican heritage as well as European influences, Fany set out to craft an iconic version of this classic treat.

After months of work in the kitchen perfecting her recipe, Fany now provides the world with a unique, refined doughnut that strikes the perfect balance of flavor and texture.

Dough's doughnuts are handmade with love and care. Workers passionately master the craft of doughnut making through a hands-on approach that focuses on freshness and fullness of flavor.

Additionally, Dough's doughnuts are made in small batches throughout the day to ensure that they are always fresh for customers to enjoy.

Transparency Adds to Experience

When you visit the shops, you can see how the doughnuts are made. The transparency of the process is based on the philosophy that buying a doughnut is an experience, not just a product.

Giving Back to the Community

It is important for us to give back to our communities and support foundations that are dear to us. We have proudly supported many schools in the Bed Stuy and Flatiron areas as well as organizations such as City Harvest, NY Food Bank and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to name a few.

We get many requests, almost daily, to support causes from small to large. While we wish we could support many more than we do currently, we have limits to what we do at this time. However, we truly and sincerely give as much as we can and look forward to being able to support more causes in the future as our business grows.

Signature Flavors Inspired by Latin America

Latin American culture and tradition was the primary inspiration for many of Dough's signature flavors. Having grown up with hibiscus, for example, Fany incorporated this distinctive flavor into her product line and it quickly became one of her signature flavors. Themes of tropical fruit interlace with traditional Latin American staples, like chocolate chipotle, tropical chile, passion fruit and dulce de leche to produce flavors that are as unique as they are satisfying.

Each of Dough's signature and new flavors has a distinct and colorful personality of their own. We invite you to become acquainted with them all and always welcome suggestions and cravings!
